Contribute positively through advices and ideas - Irekandu appeals to constituents as they celebrate new year


Lawmaker representing Obokun State Constituency, Hon. Adeyemi Adewumi popularly known as IREKANDU has felicitated with the good people of Obokun State Constituency with an appeal that they should always contribute positively to the growth and development of the constituency through advices and ideas.


Hon. Adeyemi Irekandu made this appeal in a New Year message to his constituents at his residence which was released to media outlets in Ibokun.

Hon. Adeyemi described 2019 as a year of great milestones and numerous achievements. However, we trust that these milestones and achievements will pale in comparison to what we are positioned for in 2020.

"It is my belief that throughout the year 2020, our relationship with the people of Obokun will continue to blossom as we find new ways to make Obokun a more conducive community for economic and social development, building on the foundations we have laid in years of community service and months of public service, by leveraging on her rich human and natural resources, he added.

He said that governance is a duty of all and every element of the constituency must participate in the generation and implementation of ideas that would put the constituency in the comity of responsible ones.

The 35-year-old lawmaker disclosed that there are several developmental plans and programmes readily available for implementation he has compiled for the benefits of the constituents and these programmes will be enjoyed by all irrespective of party affiliations.

As we celebrate the new year, I want to assure the good people of Obokun State Constituency that we have taken notes of issues that demand urgent intervention and plans to resolve these issues, he said.

Hon. Adeyemi further stressed that besides quality and good representation, he will embark on social development programmes that would relieve the burden of the people.

He thanked the people for their continuous support at the poll and how they stood firmly to protect the mandate they bestowed on us at the courts.
