I’ve No Issue With Gov Oyetola – Aregbesola

Former Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has dispelled insinuation that there existed rancour between him and Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

Aregbesola, who made the clarification at weekend in Osogbo during a colloquium lecture marking his 62th birthday anniversary, enjoined the people to disregard any allegation of frosty relationship between him and Oyetola.

Aregbesola, who appreciated the people for their support and love for him, said, “Let me clear the air that there is no brigandage between me and the present government. The current government is as a result of our unfettered commitment, resolve and effort. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for.

Oyetola is my senior brother who is senior to me in all ramifications. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government. So, there’s nothing meaningful in me having any issues with him. Let the detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state.”

It was reported that a rift existed between Aregbesola and Oyetola over the zoning of the party’s executive positions following the forthcoming state congress of the ruling party, APC.
